J. Rockcliff Realtors’ Jon Wood Earns Designation to Assist Bay Area Homeowners in Danger of Foreclosure

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — May 3, 2010 — J. According to the Institute, Wood is one of only 350 Realtors in the San Francisco East Bay to have achieved this designation to date.

A short sale situation allows the cash-strapped seller the opportunity to repay the home’s mortgage for the price that the home actually sells for. Lenders are more often willing to consider short sale transactions because they are less costly than foreclosures.
